Description: polyurethane-24 is a complex polymer prepared via the following multi-step synthesis. first, isophorone diisocyanate (ipdi) is reacted with three different polyols: poly(1,4-butanediol)-30, 1,4-butanediol, and dimethylol butanoic acid. this pre-polymer is then reacted with a reagent formed by the reaction between aminpropyl triethoxysilane and lauryl acrylate. the resulting polymer is subsequently chain extended by reaction with isophorone diamine in aqueous solution to produce polyurethane-24
