INCIDecoder is now INKEEDecoder

After more than 10 years as INCIDecoder, we have a new name: INKEEDecoder.

Why the change? The Personal Care Products Council (PCPC), the organization behind the INCI naming system for cosmetic ingredients, objected to our use of “INCI” in the INCIDecoder name and filed a trademark lawsuit against us in the United States.

The dispute has since been resolved, and as a result, INCIDecoder is now INKEEDecoder.

While we’re a little sad to say goodbye to a name that has been with us for so many years, the good news is that only the name is changing.

It’s the same website, the same ingredient database, and the same mission: helping you understand what’s inside your cosmetic products.

We hope you’ll get used to INKEEDecoder quickly. We kept the new name as similar as possible to make the change easier.

And most importantly, thank you for being here - whether you’ve been decoding ingredient lists with us for years or you’ve just found us. 💛
